ECITON-R is currently in its research-foundation and architecture stage. The work so far is about making the proposed system precise enough to test rather than treating an idea as a result.

What exists now

  • A project charter and research question.
  • A system boundary between swarm coordination and the host robot's navigation and safety systems.
  • An initial communication action space: silence, direct transmission, virtual stigmergy, gossip, aggregate forwarding, and cluster reorganization.
  • An evidence ledger and language for separating proposed, implemented, simulated, measured, and deployed work.

What comes next

The next implementation milestone is a small deterministic simulator. It needs to represent task generation and explicit network behavior, including payload bytes, queues, delay, loss, delivery, duplication, and staleness.

No project performance result is being reported in this update.
