Use and limitations

ECITON-R is Anish Jami’s personal research project. The website shares work in progress and provides a simulator for exploring how robot teams share information and divide tasks.

What the simulator can show

Swarm Lab uses simplified models of movement, sensing, communication, energy and weather. A result applies to its recorded scene, settings, software and assumptions. It does not establish how a physical robot or radio will perform.

The public website simulator does not control real devices. It is not a robot safety system, a safety assessment or evidence that an algorithm is ready for physical deployment. Robot integration needs its own engineering checks, measurements and safeguards.

The project status and research records distinguish implemented behavior, simulation findings and planned work. Published explanations may change as the project develops. Please report errors so they can be corrected.

Running code and keeping your work

The public lab runs Python in your browser. Apply only code you wrote or trust. A browser worker helps keep computation separate from the page interface; it is not a guarantee that arbitrary code is safe. Code can consume device resources or use capabilities available to the browser runtime.

Review policy code in imported scenes before applying it. Keep passwords, access tokens, personal information and confidential material out of policies, scenes and notes.

Refreshes, runtime failures and site changes can interrupt a session. Download scenes and run exports you want to keep. Private online saving is available only in the authorized owner workspace. The project does not offer an uptime commitment or a guaranteed backup service.

Use the site responsibly

Explore the simulator, read the research and send feedback. Please respect other people’s information and the resources that keep the site available:

  • Use only the private accounts and records you are authorized to access.
  • Do not attack the site, bypass access controls or try to obtain other people’s information.
  • Do not submit other people’s email addresses without their permission, send spam or use automated requests or scraping that overloads the site.
  • Do not upload or send material you lack permission to share.

If you find a vulnerability, use the private reporting guidance.

Public access to this website does not by itself grant a license to reuse its original text, artwork or code. Follow any license or permission attached to the specific material. For other reuse, contact Anish. The citation page explains how to reference the project.

The browser Python runtime has its own third-party notices and license credits. External websites and services set their own terms.
